she is
my sunrise and sunset
i wake
i shatter
i scatter
like roaches under a high hot lamp
on a LA night
i swim
like a jellyfish in flight
just to make it rhyme
i slide my hand along
my inner thigh
across the suspense
of hip
to naval
ribs
to breast
and to
what would be
erect
upon that
after
along neck
fingertips
linger on
lips
and then
curve
palm
to palm
i feel her breathe
stall
in my chest
through clenched teeth
expanding
writhing limbs
clinging sheets
my body
in this liquid intensity
dreams
of
energy
penetrating
rhythm
like sweaty heart beats
or the longing
steady
pine trees
growing
together but lonely
in the shady
mountains
roots entangled
shifting sleepily
under blankets of faith
and twinkling aches
for avalanches of
movement
wake
the resistance
grinding
across the plains
speed it up
where once was
great matriarchs
white buffalo
roaming
remembering
and forgetting
flesh
or consciousness
a bargain
for self or soul
or being
here
being
matter
being
more
or
less
just to move forward
fingers tips
linger in
reverence
dance
across
too soft skin
that
begs to be pressed
spread
begs
begs to be torn
with just
the right pressure
to move
keep moving
forward
